Re-meet our closest friends, business partners, and well, this is just an all-around amazing family and fantastic couple. For those of you who know them and who are reading this, I can imagine you’re nodding your heads. Everyone who knows them knows just how generous, fun, authentic, kind, supportive, and amazing this family is. Although, if you knew their extended families, you’d understand – for they are quite incredible as well!
Too bad they’re not good looking at all. ;)
I don’t know if I’ve ever shared the story, but Sara is one of the first people (beside my hubby) who dared me to step out of my comfort zone and photograph her kids (stepping out of my comfort zone by not just taking pictures of my own kiddos). That was four years ago and I’ve done their photos ever since, and have enjoyed every moment of it. Sara, you’ve been nothing but supportive and have been one of my biggest fans – thank you so much for being who you are. I hope you enjoy this latest round of photos!
I had such a great time getting to know this family and shooting them. As it turns out, we are nearly twins. Or we both just have excellent taste (and as you’ll be able to see from the pictures below that the latter is definitely true about them!). We have daughters with the same first name, the mom and I are both runners. Er, well, I used to be a runner before this pregnancy took over my body! (And, she is waaaaaaaaaaaay faster than I am – she is a marathoner rockstar). We also got married in the same year, and she’s from a town near my husband’s home town (this is rare, as he grew up in a veeeeeeerrrrrrrry small town not very close to any major cities). There’s more, but I will spare you the details.
Anyway, the point is, I got to work with yet another amazing family. I.love.whatIdo!

How lucky am I? I had the privilege to photograph these darling kiddos on another momentous occasion – to commemorate their 3rd and 5th birthdays! As evidenced by the upcoming photos, it was really hard to not have a blast with them. Super smiley, super friendly, and super cute. With just the right amount of ‘tude as well. :) And, very well behaved to boot. But if you knew their parents, this would come as no surprise; they’re the nicest couple and always make me feel completely at ease. I love this family!

Well, it’s been a week now since school has started for my kiddos and they’re adjusting beautifully. It also means that I’ve had a bit of time to go through and edit the photos that we took that first morning of school!
